The earthmoving equipment segment accounts for one of the largest parts of the total market for construction machines. All around the world excavators and articulated dumptrucks (ADTs) can be seen operating on construction sites. With a massive array of manufacturers offering these machines, it is no surprise that the segment is hotly contested. In developed markets firms are
German traffic analysis consultant and software maker PTV, which produces the well-known Visum and Vissim strategic traffic analysis and micro-simulation tools, has launched a new assessment tool aimed at studying traffic impact of new developments. PTV Vistro is claimed to be the first all-in one-solution for transport analysis and signal optimisation, an easy-to-use software that can be used to conduct traffic studies which are often a mandatory part of development applications and planning approvals.
The ATLAS 140 W is equipped with huge 710/45-26.5 20 PR tyres and an undercarriage developed for working on marshy wet ground.

Taiwan-based Apus Molds and Plastics (AMP) says it has developed a ‘novel’ poly carbonate barrier system. Made from PC and PP materials, the barrier is said to be long lasting and corrosion resistant, as well as being lightweight and quick to install. Impact performance is also said to be good as the material helps absorb shock.
