Italy’s Merlo Group unveiled the first three of its telehandlers to benefit from a new modular approach to construction: the P27.6, the P30.10 and the ROTO 45.35.
The group has invested over euro100m in the project that will see different machines assembled using a kit-of-parts approach. The benefit to customers should be increased quality, faster delivery time and a reduced number of spare parts to speed up maintenance and repairs.

The RiverLinx consortium has reached financial close on the €1.17 billion Silvertown Tunnel project after a three-year procurement process by the client Transport for London.
Plans are being considered for a new road crossing route for the River Thames in London. Transport for London (TfL) has launched a consultation process to evaluate new crossing proposals. The first suggested route would link Beckton and Thamesmead through a link at Gallions Reach, while a second proposed crossing at Belvedere would link Belvedere and Rainham. The consultation is seeking views about potential public transport links for the proposed river crossings in east London.
