Danish company UN Mobilkraner, which has worked with Manitowoc since 1994, now offers certified repair and refurbishment services for Grove mobile cranes in Scandinavia, under the Manitowoc Crane Care brand. To qualify for the program, dealers must invest considerable time in training technical staff, including advanced training for welders to earn the correct certifications for welding structural components on cranes.

Each dealer must also add a trained structural engineer to its staff to interface directly with Manitowoc on technical issues. Manitowoc Crane Care provides full commercial, technical and financial support for all EnCORE Partners. Faresin Industries has expanded its telescopic handler range with the addition of the FH8.40 and the rotating Storm 22.45 evo. The FH8.40 sits in the range between the established FH7.45 and the FH9.30. The machine has a capacity of 4tonnes with a maximum lift height of 8m. Higher up the lifting scale, the Storm 22.45 rotating handler can manage up to 45tonne lifts, with a maximum height of 22m.

Bell Equipment is working on its biggest ever truck, which will offer a capacity of 55tonnes. A launch date has not yet been revealed for the hauler and technical details have yet to be revealed, however the machine will have a 4x4 drive system. Marc Schürmann managing director of Bell Equipment Europe said prototype testing for the machine will commence later this year. Mitas has unveiled the newest addition to its family of ERL earthmoving tyres, the 20.5R25 ERL-50. The tyre will become available for sale worldwide by July. Mitas makes specific tyres for machines operating in demanding conditions, including gravel and rock quarries. The Mitas ERL series features 12 tyres of 28mm to 90mm tread depth, with the ERL-50 designed for rocky conditions.
