Malaysian firm building Indian link

Plans are now in hand in India for construction of the Jetpur-Somnath Section NH-8D highway in the state of Gujarat.

Plans are now in hand in India for construction of the Jetpur-Somnath Section NH-8D highway in the state of Gujarat. This 127.6km highway is expected to take 30 months to construct, although the start date for the work and the estimated cost have yet to be revealed. The work will be carried out by an Indian subsidiary of Malaysian firm PLUS Expressways, which won the tender for the link. The 3577 National Highway Authority of India awarded the deal to PLUS Expressways' subsidiary Jetpur Somnath Tollways and the concession agreement covers both construction and operation of the road for a 30 year period.
