Malacca state in Malaysia to spend US$196.75mn on road building
The Malacca state government in Malaysia will spend US$196.75 million (MYR 612.30mn) to build and improve roads in the state. The budget will develop 73 road projects that will connect more places within the state.

The Malacca state government in Malaysia will spend US$196.75 million (MYR 612.30mn) to build and improve roads in the state. The budget will develop 73 road projects that will connect more places within the state.
An ambitious road improvement scheme has been proposed by the Mozambique Government. The programme of works calls for the paving of 2,100km of roads by 2019. The scheme will address both national and regional roads across the country between 2015 and 2019, covering around 420km/year of roads on average. Also included within the programme will be repairs to 57 bridges. Meanwhile a further 2,800km of roads will be repaired, an average on 560km/year, by 2019. Construction work is commencing on a key contract in Malaysia to build a new bridge. The US$106.4 million project is being handled by the contractor Naza EC and is for the construction of the 1.5km long Bagan Datuk Bridge, as well as an 8.7km long link road. The work is intended to improve transport connections between Malaysia’s Bagan Datuk, Perak Tengah, and Manjung districts. Once complete, the new link will reduce journey times for drivers from one hour at present to just 15 minutes.
