Malacca state in Malaysia to spend US$196.75mn on road building
The Malacca state government in Malaysia will spend US$196.75 million (MYR 612.30mn) to build and improve roads in the state. The budget will develop 73 road projects that will connect more places within the state.

The Malacca state government in Malaysia will spend US$196.75 million (MYR 612.30mn) to build and improve roads in the state. The budget will develop 73 road projects that will connect more places within the state.
Malaysia's highway system is in the process of being improved with the construction of the new Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor (KLS) Expressway. This new link is schedule to open officially in June 2011 and is expected to be completed by April 2011.
Portuguese road authority Estradas de Portugal will receive US$1.05 billion (€781mn) from the state budget in 2013. As part of this, an agreement for a €238 million loan has already been signed with state secretary Maria Luis Albuquerque.

Up to US$535.76million (CAD 550mn) has been offered by the Canadian government towards the US$973.75million (CAD 1bn) construction of Detroit River International Crossing bridge between Windsor, Ontario and the US city of Detroit. The construction of the bridge is due for completion by 2016.
Mexico’s Puebla State has major plans to develop its infrastructure, with the transport network having been placed as a priority for economic growth. A budget of some US$1.21 billion has been set out for infrastructure projects between 2014 and 2018. Of this, some 66.2% will be used to construct a new highway.
