Major racetrack projects for Moscow

Work is in hand for a new Formula 1 racetrack in Moscow. The facility will be built by Strategiya and will be located close to Volokolamsk. The facility will be designed to hold up to 100,000 spectators. Parking for 10,000 cars will be built although this could be increased if required. Contractor Avtoban will build the track itself while Stroytekh will construct buildings and structures and Siemens/PKE will equip the track with the necessary electronic. The project is costing some US$151 million.

Work is in hand for a new Formula 1 racetrack in Moscow. The facility will be built by Strategiya and will be located close to Volokolamsk. The facility will be designed to hold up to 100,000 spectators. Parking for 10,000 cars will be built although this could be increased if required. Contractor 6119 Avtoban will build the track itself while Stroytekh will construct buildings and structures and 1134 Siemens/4799 PKE will equip the track with the necessary electronic. The project is costing some US$151 million.

The new track will host stages of 2453 Renault’s World Series, World Superbike, and FIA GT1/GT3. As part of five-seven international series, competitions will be held in 2013, the talks are still ongoing. The track will be ready for the Russian stage of Formula 1 since 2013, if the government makes the relevant decision.
