Major new highway projects are planned for China

In China plans are underway for a new expressway connecting Luohu and Futian districts in Shenzhen. The US$1.58 billion project still has to be approved by the authorities in Shenzhen city. Of note is the plan to build the majority of the 20.3km expressway as an underground road. Once it is complete, the new link is expected to reduce congestion in both districts. Meanwhile a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) has secured the LM2 section contract for the 20.5km Fanshi-Day

In China plans are underway for a new expressway connecting Luohu and Futian districts in Shenzhen. The US$1.58 billion project still has to be approved by the authorities in Shenzhen city. Of note is the plan to build the majority of the 20.3km expressway as an underground road. Once it is complete, the new link is expected to reduce congestion in both districts. Meanwhile a subsidiary of 2661 China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) has secured the LM2 section contract for the 20.5km Fanshi-Daying highway in Shanxi province.

    Progress is being seen in China with the development of the country’s first undersea tunnel. The new tunnel will be located in Shenzhen and is expected to take three years to construct, once work commences at the end of 2018. The 8.05km connection will run between the Dachan Bay toll Gate on the Shenzhen-Guangzhou Riverside Expressway and Yueliangwan Boulevard in Qianhai.
