A major highway in Belarus will be reconstructed

The Belarus Ministry of Transport is setting out a budget to rebuild the country’s most important highway links. The country’s Federal Highway will be reconstructed and the Ministry of Transport will publish the tender for the repair work in 2013. The project is expected to cost in the region of US$4.75 billion to carry out and is planned for completion by 2018.

    Plans are in hand in Brazil’s Minas Gerais State for work to an 817km stretch of the BR-116 highway. The project is expected to cost in the region of US$2.48 billion to carry out. The Brazilian Transport Agency (ANTT) is opening the project to tender and it will be offered under a concession package. The 817km section of the highway will feature eight toll stations.     Moscow’s ring road is due for rebuilding – Eugene Gerden writes. The Moscow city authorities have finalised the project of the reconstruction of the Moscow Ring Road. The ring road encircles the City of Moscow and the plan was announced by Marat Khusnullin, deputy mayor of the city. Khusnullin said that, to date, the Moscow city government has completed 90% of the design documentation of the project.
