Interest is strong in the Bridge Innovation Summit 2013 (BIS2013) being held from April 25th- 26th in Beijing, according to the event organisers. Interest is strong in the Bridge Innovation Summit 2013 (BIS2013) being held from April 25th- 26th in Beijing, according to the event organisers. The Bridge Innovation Summit 2013 will be the leading event for bridge developments in Asia, with over 20 top executives as speakers and over 150 senior executives as participants. Confirmed leading bridge related companies and organisations include 1419 Arup, 7022 Baosteel Construction, 2349 COWI, 2661 China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), 890 China Railway Group and China’s Municipal Design & Research Institute.   • Sandvik is now using Volvo Penta engines in its underground trucks and loaders

    Sandvik Mining is now using Volvo Penta engines in its underground trucks and loaders. The advanced engines meet Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission standards and are claimed to reduce fuel and ventilation costs in comparison with other units. The Volvo Penta engineers designed a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) unit in the exhaust system that converts NOx gas into nitrogen and water. The Volvo Penta exhaust-treatment solution also reduces DPM levels without the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF).
