Three major regeneration projects in London carried out by FM 2329 Conway have been recognised at the UK's London Transport Awards ceremony.

The company, together with 3364 Southwark Council, scooped the top award in the Excellence in Walking and Public Realm category for the council’s Reclaiming the Streets, Salisbury Row, the people’s project, for which FM Conway was the main contractor.

Two more projects, London Borough of Lambeth Herne Hill Regeneration and London Borough of Bromley, Orpington High Street, Public Realm Improvements, were highly commended.

Salisbury Row was praised as an excellent initiative after the notorious rat run has been transformed into a greener, safer community, having a huge impact on residents’ quality of life.

Design solutions for the regeneration included one-way systems, partial road closures, traffic calming and shared spaces.
