Lithuania's Ministry of Transport proposes that the country's major international transport routes be added to the EU's Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). Sections of national roads and logistics centres under development in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, and Siauliai be included into TEN-T under the proposal.

    A new grant from the European Union will help boost the profile for hydrogen as a fuel option for drivers on the TEN-T road network. The European Union is providing some €3.5 million from the TEN-T Programme. The project, taking place in The Netherlands and Denmark with the support of French and Swedish stakeholders, will analyse the current availability of hydrogen at refuelling stations.     The European Commission has launched proposal calls worth €350 million for TEN-T (the Trans-European Transport Network) related projects.
