Liebherr launching a revised R922 crawler excavator
718 Liebherr is launching a revised R922 crawler excavator, replacing the previous R906 and joining the R918 and R926 in the company’s medium weight line-up. Powered by a Stage IIIB Liebherr diesel engine, developing 105kW (143hp), the R922 weighs in at 22 tonnes and designed as a general purpose civils machine. Using a Dual Circuit Positive Control hydraulic system, the excavator is said to consume less energy than previous models, resulting in fuel savings for the customer. The machine on show will be exhibited with a 2.7m dipper arm and LC undercarriage. However even with 600mm track pads the R922 does not exceed the 3.0m overall width for road transport in Europe.
CDE Global has formed CDE GmbH trading as CDE Deutschland, which has developed from a distribution agreement for southern Germany that was in place between CDE Global and Jurgen Kolsch. The move sees Stefan Kolsch and Sean McCusker assume roles as directors in the new company, which will have exclusive responsibility for the sales, distribution, project management and after sales and service elements of the CDE business in Germany.
A new platform line has been launched by CTE, the B-Lift 390 High Range, a truck-mounted high range telescopic platform which is able to meet the requirements of various markets. The platform reaches 39 m of working height with 26.3m of maximum outreach and 450kg of maximum loading capacity. It has a telescopic boom (4 elements) with main boom and 3 telescopic extensions and H stabilisation system.
Dressta is offering improved versions of its 560E and 555C Extra wheeled loaders, with new Cummins diesels. Power for the larger 560E Extra now comes from a Cummins QSX15 diesel rated at 319kW, compared with the 310kW of the previous engine in this machine. The six cylinder Cummins engine drives through a torque converter, a three-speed, full powershift, countershaft transmission, front and rear axle drives and conventional differentials.
Italian firm Outset has extended the functionality of its Lanx Evo on-board truck weighing system with the development of an app for the iOS platform. Called Lanx Evo, the app allows operators to use an iPhone to connect to Outset’s on-board truck scale, enabling the iOS device to show a continuous display of payload. This system is ideal, said the company, for truck drivers who load their own vehicles as the use of an iPhone gives them a portable weigh scale display that can be seen from the cab of the loa
