Liebherr is launching a revised R922 crawler excavator, replacing the previous R906 and joining the R918 and R926 in the company’s medium weight line-up. Powered by a Stage IIIB Liebherr diesel engine, developing 105kW (143hp), the R922 weighs in at 22 tonnes and designed as a general purpose civils machine. Using a Dual Circuit Positive Control hydraulic system, the excavator is said to consume less energy than previous models, resulting in fuel savings for the customer. Liebherr launching a revised R922 crawler excavator
718 Liebherr is launching a revised R922 crawler excavator, replacing the previous R906 and joining the R918 and R926 in the company’s medium weight line-up. Powered by a Stage IIIB Liebherr diesel engine, developing 105kW (143hp), the R922 weighs in at 22 tonnes and designed as a general purpose civils machine. Using a Dual Circuit Positive Control hydraulic system, the excavator is said to consume less energy than previous models, resulting in fuel savings for the customer. The machine on show will be exhibited with a 2.7m dipper arm and LC undercarriage. However even with 600mm track pads the R922 does not exceed the 3.0m overall width for road transport in Europe.
Hidromek is commencing work on developing its new wheeled loader line. Export manager Anil Bingöl said, “We have started our wheeled loader project and we hope to have our first prototype machine this year.” This will feature a 3m3 bucket and will be the first in a range of wheeled loaders from the firm. Machines with bucket capacities of 4m3 and then 5m3 will be developed in due course. Testing of the first prototype will be carried out in Turkey and Bingöl said the firm intends to have its wheeled loaders
Liebherr will show a modular design flat-top tower crane in the 150EC-B at this year’s Bauma. The 150EC-B is available in FR.tronic, with traditional contractor controls, or Litronic version with programmable logic controls. The flat-top crane can be had in 6 tonne and 8 tonne versions, with a maximum hook height of 63m and maximum working radius of 60m. Lift capacity at full radius is 1,700kg.
Netherlands-based D-TEC has developed a novel vacuum tank trailer system for applications such as bentonite extraction during sample boring. An innovative steering system is said to allow the D-TEC vacuum tanktrailer to manoeuvre easily on sites where there is little space. This design also reduces tyre scrubbing and allows greater tyre life, cutting running costs over the long term. The tank trailer offers greater load capacity than previously available designs according to the firm, due to its low weight,
