Liebherr is offering a versatile and mobile new concrete mixing plant

Liebherr’s new Mobilmix 2.5 is a container-mounted mixing plant system developed for large construction sites. This plant offers a capacity of 110m3/hour of compacted concrete and is designed for mobility. The plant’s components are housed in modular containers that can be easily transported and linked together on-site. Once erected, the container modules form a weather-proof structure that can be equipped with additional insulation for use in severe climatic conditions.

The plant’s components are housed in modular containers that can be easily transported and linked together on-site. Once erected, the container modules form a weather-proof structure that can be equipped with additional insulation for use in severe climatic conditions.

Two Mobilmix 2.5 plants can be operated in tandem, effectively doubling output to 220m3/hour if required. The mixing plant can be extended with high-pressure mixer cleaning equipment, admixture weighers, dust filters and water tanks.

Michelin previewed its new X Crane+ tyre at INTERMAT. The new radial tyre has an ‘F’ speed rating allowing each tyre to carry a payload of 6,700kg at speeds of up to 80km/h. This means the tyre allows cranes between 35 to 1,200tonnes, which often have up to 12 axles each carrying 12tonnes, to run at 80kmh – common in the UK and some other markets. As a precaution Michelin withdrew the previous, lower rated, X Crane design from the UK market as crane owners were running at speeds higher than the tyre’s capac

  • Perkins will demonstrate how its engine will meet EU Stage IV/US Tier 4 Final emissions regulations
    January 6, 2017
Perkins will showcase a complete line-up of Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engine solutions at Bauma, ahead of the new legislation next year. The four cylinder 854F-E34TA will demonstrate much of the technology on offer, as it uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) with an exhaust additive, plus a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). Both Perkins’ 3.4 and 4.4-litre engine lines make do without a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), though the larger 7 litre will use a DPF as well.
