A major road project in Kuwait now has the go-ahead and construction will commence shortly. A consortium comprising local firm 3103 Boodai Construction, the Italian companies 975 Rizzani De Eccher and the 978 Trevi Group and Spanish firm 980 OHL won the deal with a bid of US$840 million.

    A series of major road projects in Guatemala now look set to go ahead. A US$340 million loan from the Brazilian National Development Bank (BNDES) will most likely fund work to widen the 131km Mayuelas-Puerto Santo Tomas de Castilla route to four lanes.   • Consortium wins Slovakia bypass job

    A consortium will carry out a major bypass project in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava. The consortium comprises Spanish construction firm Cintra, as well as Australian companies Macquarie and Porr. The partners will build part of Bratislava's (Slovakia) ring road.
