Komatsu CARE launched at INTERMAT

Identifying the difficulties end-users can face with diesel particulate filters on Stage IIIb emissions-compliant engines, Komatsu Europe International announced it will provide customers with a complimentary maintenance programme and Komatsu diesel particulate filter (KDPF) exchange. Identifying the difficulties end-users can face with diesel particulate filters on Stage IIIb emissions-compliant engines, 262 Komatsu Europe International announced it will provide customers with a complimentary maintenance programme and 2300 Komatsu diesel particulate filter (KDPF) exchange.

Called Komatsu CARE, the programme includes complimentary factory-scheduled maintenance on EU Stage IIIB Komatsu construction equipment for the first three years or 2000 hours, whichever occurs first.

Available at all official KEISA distributors, the planned maintenance intervals are at 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 service hours.

The CARE programme includes replacement of oils and filters with genuine Komatsu parts, multi-point inspection, Komatsu oil and wear analysis sampling, plus labour and mileage.
A complimentary KDPF exchange is also standard for all Komatsu EU Stage IIIB construction equipment and includes a maximum of two complimentary KDPF exchange units for the first five years/9000 hours.

With engine emissions being the main driver, the smaller 18-tonne WA380-7 packs 142kW from its EU Stage IIIb engine to deliver improved efficiency and lower fuel consumption. The machine also gets torque converter lock-up with the function operating in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears, and gives the loader a 40 km/h forward speed.
