Construction work is now pushing ahead on key highway connections in China's Shaanxi Province. One of the major projects is for a 79km highway that will link Jia County with Yulin in a deal worth some US$826 million. The project is being managed under the build-operate-transfer (BOT) model.

    Work is underway on an important highway improvement scheme in Vietnam. The project involves upgrading the Gia Lai-Binh Dinh section of National Highway 19. The work is being carried out under the build-operate-transfer (BOT) model. The actual construction work is scheduled for completion during 2015. The project is costing US$95 million and involves work to a 56km section of the route. The concession package has been agreed under a 22 year deal.

  • Pakistan moves on Havelian-Thakot section of China-Pak Corridor

    Pakistan’s infrastructure and economic development agency the Central Development Working Party approved six projects worth US$865 million, including the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) Raikot section Phase-1. The Raikot section is the 120km Havalian-Thakot stretch and alone is worth around $830 million, according to a report from The Nation newspaper.     Two major highway projects are now moving forward in China, with one connecting Guangdong Province with Guangzhou Province and the other lcoated in Yunnan Province. The second stage of Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing highway project will provide an improved link between Guangdong Province and Guangzhou Province and work will commence at the end of 2015.
