Key highway projects are underway in Henan Province, China

A total of US$2.42 billion is being invested in five high-speed road projects in China's Henan Province. The highways have a total length of 205km and construction work is already underway. Some $1.2 billion will be spent on the 108km road link between Dengfeng City and Weishi Expressway with a length of around 108km, while $377 million will be invested in a 37km road project connecting Wuxi Expressway and Yuntai Mountain. A total of US$2.42 billion is being invested in five high-speed road projects in China's Henan Province. The highways have a total length of 205km and construction work is already underway. Some $1.2 billion will be spent on the 108km road link between Dengfeng City and Weishi Expressway with a length of around 108km, while $377 million will be invested in a 37km road project connecting Wuxi Expressway and Yuntai Mountain. A further $242 million will be spent on a 22km road from Jiao Tong Expressway-Wen County, while $114 million will be invested in a 5.3km road from Sanmenxia-Xichuan Expressway. In addition, $306.6 million will be spent on a 33.4km road connecting Nanle and Linzhou Expressway.

    Huge highway investment plans have been established by the authorities in China’s Henan Province. The planned spending on highway construction in Henan during 2012 is some US$4.41 billion in all, which will see the highway network reaching a total of 6,000km. The authorities in the province have set a total transportation budget of some $7.27 billion for 2012.
