Key highway link for Italy

Work is to commence shortly in Italy on a major highway construction project worth more than €490 million.

Work is to commence shortly in Italy on a major highway construction project worth more than €490 million. The new 9.5km highway stretch will connect the A15 and A22 highways and will form part of the planned Tyrrhenian-Brennero corridor connecting Italy with Central Europe. Italy's state-controlled road concessionary 1184 ANAS has given the highway operator Autocamionale della Cisa to go ahead with the project.

    Stretches of a major new highway project in Slovakia are opening for traffic. Two sections of the D1 highway are opening by the end of 2015.
