Key construction equipment event for Europe

Sustainable efficiency will be the key theme for the during Construction Equipment 3019 World Economic Forum (CEWEF) 2011. This year's CEWEF event will be held at the Dolce la Hulpe Hotel in Brussels on 12th and 13th September. The first CEWEF event was organised four years ago and the conference has grown into an annual forum for networking and the exchange of information between users and suppliers of earthmoving and construction equipment and associated products. Some 150 participants are expected at CEWEF 2011, including key decision-makers from leading construction and contracting companies, together with representatives of major suppliers including 1240 Bell Equipment, 178 Caterpillar, 695 Doosan, 233 Hitachi, 236 Hyundai, 255 JCB, 2300 Komatsu, 718 Liebherr and 359 Volvo CE. The organisers of the 2011 staging of CEWEF will focus on uptime, efficiency and safety under the slogan Sustainable Efficiency. This features speakers including Antonio Barona, research and development manager at Solintel, who will be talking about CO2 and energy efficiency in quarries, Achim Sieker, director at the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, talking about an accident-free working environment, and Jacqueline Mills of Leaseurope talking about the financing of machinery and equipment. Other keynote speakers on the programme are Xavier Therin, vice president Land, Mineral Resources and Mining at 3180 Lafarge, talking about fleet management optimisation, André Krings of 1240 Bell Equipment, who will be discussing the benefits of automatic greasing of equipment, and Sebastian Maffini of 2122 Trimble, who will present a vision of the future of machine monitoring and positioning using telematics. One of the directors of Bilfinger Berger will also be speaking, and a main board director from 718 Liebherr will be participating in one of the panel discussions, which will be led by Jacki Davis.
