The state government of Kerala in India has given an in-principle approval to raise auto-rickshaw, bus and taxi fares due to an increase of INR 5 (US$0.10) per litre in diesel prices.
Road tolls in Bosnia are to rise by over 100%. Director of the Bosnian motorways company Autoceste FBiH, Ensad Karic, said the federal government Federal Bosnia and Herzegovina had approved the increase, effective from 13 June, 2013. Prices for personal vehicles will increase from BAM 2 to BAM 4.20 (US$2.68) on the Sarajevo-Zenica 37km motorway.

According to a new report from consultant Frost & Sullivan, extended-range electric vehicles (EVs) could be cost-competitive with comparable internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles as soon as 2015. The report claims that electric vehicles could offer a payback period of less than four years for customers with an oil price of €2.50/litre, without any government subsidies.
