Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin said authorities would allocate US$263.14million to repair the city’s road network in 2012, compared to a total of $197.66million spent over the previous five years.
After a solid first quarter 2011, STRABAG, Central and Eastern Europe’s largest construction company, has raised its outlook for the financial years 2011 and 2012.
The Russian highway authorities intend to invest a massive €16.78 billion (US$24.23 billion) in road construction and repairs during 2011. This investment will come from federal and regional budgets
and represents a 40% increase over spending made in 2010. The plans involve repairs to 5,500km
