Kazan allocated US$263.14mn road repair budget for 2012

Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin said authorities would allocate US$263.14million to repair the city’s road network in 2012, compared to a total of $197.66million spent over the previous five years.
A future 10% cut in toll charges on roads in São Paulo could result in US$252.14million (BRL 500mn) less in revenues a year for concessionaires CCR and EcoRodovias, according to a study of 2012 company results by economists at Valor Data. A total of US$1.01 billion (MXN 12.91bn) will be allocated from Mexico’s 2013 federal budget for 783 road work projects across 31 states. Chiapas will receive the largest amount at $73.64 million (MXN 940mn) for 64 projects-; followed by Guerrero’s $69.8 million (MXN 891mn) - and Hidalgo $63.92 million (MXN 816mn). The road work projects do not include any works planned for Mexico City.
A total of €954.13 million will be spent repairing 7,700kms of Ukraine’s roads during 2014, according to Yevgeny Prusenko, head of the state agency of automobile roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor). Prusenko said the agency, who will carry out all repair works, will be fixing 3,600km of regional public roads and 4,100km of communal roads.
The Canadian province of Nova Scotia will get US$224 million for road upgrades in 2019-20, a boost of $11.2 million over the current period.
Lloyd Hines, the province’s transportation and infrastructure renewal minister, said much of the additional funding will be for twinning portions of the province’s 100 series highways, including the 101, 103, 104 and the 107 Sackville-Burnside connector.
