Kazan allocated US$263.14mn road repair budget for 2012

Manitou Group’s (MG) operating profit rose by 22% to €31 million in the first half of 2012, compared to €25 million over the same period of 2011. The France-headquartered Group also saw its 2012 first half year revenue increase by 20% to €672 million, having recorded €562 million revenue in the first six months of the previous year. After a solid first quarter 2011, Strabag, Central and Eastern Europe’s largest construction company, has raised its outlook for the financial years 2011 and 2012.
According to the new forecast, Strabag expects an output volume of €14 billion in 2011 (previous target €13.5 billion), with earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) forecast to increase to €320 million, after €295 million had been predicted.

A major programme of repairs and rebuilding is being carried out on Russian roads in the country’s North-Western Federal District during 2014. In all close to US$144 million is being spent in a programme of works with upgrading 258 separate infrastructure projects. The work is being carried out on 293km of public roads in all, while work is planned on a further 400km of roads during 2015.
