The Bituchem Group has introduced a new colour to its Natratex Cotswold range. The company is now producing a Salmon alternative offering a pink shade of the durable natural asphalt material.
Natratex Salmon uses coloured stone pigments sourced from specific quarries to offer a naturally coloured surface for a wide range of commercial and domestic applications. The coloured aggregates of Natratex Salmon are fully bonded using a clear resin binder to form a hard-wearing surface.

The Chinese Government is providing neighbouring Nepal with expertise and funding for the ring road development around capital Kathmandu. This has been arranged through a bilateral agreement between the Chinese and Nepalese governments. The programme of works is getting under way and will see the widening of 27km of the ring road from its present four lanes to eight lanes in all. The Chinese Government funded the detailed survey design although the contractor has yet to be selected for the project.
A road project in Utah has benefited from the use of effective barrier protection during construction. *Paul Grant reports An upgraded section of road from 3500 South in West Valley City, Utah, is now open to traffic. The link was completely rebuilt by Utah DoT (UDOT) from the Bangerter Highway to 2700 West, and the road carries traffic from West Valley toward downtown Salt Lake City and the University of Utah. The work added two centre lanes, which are now the first dedicated Bus Rapid Transit lanes in Uta

The improved SecuCalc package allows online calculation of base course thickness on a PC or mobile device. The user only has to input a one-time registration, without additional software installation.
