Caterpillar says a new fume extraction system on its latest generation of Pavers will make working operations safer and more comfortable. The new system was recently demonstrated to customers at Caterpillar’s European paver facility at Minerbio in Italy. Independent French research is said by Caterpillar to show that a high percentage of fumes are removed or redirected from the leading construction firm’s new pavers, benefiting not only its operators but screed operators as well.
Terex Washing Systems (TWS) is making final plans to unveil what it says is a new innovative washing system. The AggreSand system is the latest addition to what the company says is an already extensive product portfolio, and it is due to be officially launched in Quarter 2, 2013. The TWS AggreSand system combines aggregate washing and screening with sand processing on a modular chassis, and brings together “tried and trusted TWS components in an innovative modular design.”
Construction activity is underway on a number of key transport infrastructure projects in Colombia. A major bridge project spanning the Magdalena River is currently under construction close to the city of Barranquilla in the north of Colombia.
