    A moped rider in the US state of South Carolina was the victim of a rather unusual attack. He was riding the vehicle when another man pushed him off the moped. As the victim fell to the ground, the attacker then grabbed the victim’s prosthetic leg and used this as a weapon with which to continue the assault. The attacker was arrested and charged for the assault although the reason for the incident has not been revealed.

    Proud parents in Qeubec, Canada now have good reason to regret the day they posted video clips of their son driving the family car. Aged just seven, the child was filmed driving the family's SUV while his parents and siblings (also present in the vehicle) cheered him on. The father even mentioned the boy's name and the location of the offence, making it somewhat easy for the police to track the parents.
  • Work for Melbourne’s major tunnel project restarts

    Construction work is restarting on Melbourne’s West Gate tunnel project. Construction of the tolled tunnel link is costing US$5.2 billion (A$6.7 billion). The project is controversial and has met with considerable political opposition in Australia. Those against the link say that building a second river crossing is not necessary and that it will merely increase travel costs for drivers as it will be tolled. However those in favour of the link say that it is required due to the heavy traffic congestion. A
