The high-capacity 550-80 is designed for heavy duty roles
255 JCB has added the high-capacity 550-80 Loadall to its telescopic handler line.

The 550-80 is JCB’s highest capacity Loadall and it has been specifically designed for bulk handling operations in heavier duty applications such as loading duties with a bucket and materials recycling and waste handling operations.

Key features of the 550-80 include an 8.1m lift height with a 4.99tonne lift capacity, a 97kW engine and 140 litres/min variable flow hydraulics and high-flow pipework for optimised cycle times.

With loading operations in mind, the 550-80 features high dump and roll-back angles of 46° and 34° respectively. This is designed with material retention and stockpiling in mind for efficient lorry or hopper loading.

The model is also available in a Wastemaster specification. The inner boom of the 550-80WM uses a splayed nose design to maximise structural integrity while also incorporating Z-bar bucket linkage. This system provides 6.5tonnes of breakout force – an increase of more than 50% on the current 541 Wastemaster. The low boom line has been designed to aid all-round visibility.

The 20 tonne JS20MH is the firm’s first dedicated materials handler for the waste and recycling industries. Based on the JS160W Wastemaster wheeled excavator, the JS20MH uses a new undercarriage and chassis design with a central slew turret delivering increased stability. Powered by a 97kW (130hp) JCB Dieselmax engine the machine has a 5.7m straight boom with either a 4m goosen

JCB is expanding its range of mini excavators with the launch of the 8026 CTS. The 8026 CTS joins the range alongside the zero tailswing 8025 ZTS in the line-up. The new 2.7tonne machine offers a conventional layout with a trailer-towable transport weight and increased lifting capacity. The 8026 CTS uses a dedicated boom and dipper arm for greater digging and lifting performance. Increased efficiency allows the 8026 CTS to use the same engine family as the 8025 ZTS, with a similar torque output, but with a

JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units.
