JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units.

255 JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units. These larger breaker models suit carriers in the 10-28tonne class and features include a large diameter tool, automatic tool greasing and heavy duty brackets, all of which help increase wear life. There are also four smaller breakers, for carriers weighing 2-12tonnes, which share some of the same features as the larger units.
Using Ammann’s AS1 plant control system, the EcoMix concrete plant combines accurate measuring equipment and comprehensive process control to guarantee perfect, repeatable results, claimed Ammann. The galvanised steel support structure is light, warp resistant and also suitable for areas of increased seismic activity, it is claimed. The EcoModule is equipped with the company’s tried and tested Amix twinshaft paddle mixer and is pre-assembled and tested at the factory.

Cat’s latest E-series excavator is the 16.7tonne 316E. It replaces the 315D and gets a Cat C4.4 Acert engine to meet EU Stage IIIb emissions. It is the first of three smaller E series being launched by Cat this year. Electric boom regeneration is also available on the new model, and combined with the latest engine technology, gives the company a fuel-saving focus. There is a new cab with lower noise levels – typically a 4dB(a) reduction over its D series predecessor – and improved comfort and visibility too
