JCB is introducing a new three model range of breakers
JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units.

255 JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units. These larger breaker models suit carriers in the 10-28tonne class and features include a large diameter tool, automatic tool greasing and heavy duty brackets, all of which help increase wear life. There are also four smaller breakers, for carriers weighing 2-12tonnes, which share some of the same features as the larger units.

Additions to Cat’s mini excavator range at INTERMAT include the 301.7D and 302.4D. With operating weights of 1.8 and 2.4tonnes respectively, the two new machines will replace the UK-built 301.8C and 302.5C later this year, when they go into production. Key features include expandable track frames, standard and long stick options, stand and extended blade frames, plus canopy and full cab versions – the latter uses a single, left-hand door design. Volvo’s D-series upgrades have been applied its short radius 14 and 21tonne excavators. In addition to their operating weights, the ECR145D and ECR235D differ in their engine types – the smaller model getting a four-cylinder 84kW engine, while the larger model gets six-cylinder power rated at 129kW.
