JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units.

255 JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units. These larger breaker models suit carriers in the 10-28tonne class and features include a large diameter tool, automatic tool greasing and heavy duty brackets, all of which help increase wear life. There are also four smaller breakers, for carriers weighing 2-12tonnes, which share some of the same features as the larger units.
The SL50W-3 wheel loader by Shantui has been fitted with planetary power shift transmission and a coxial flow amplification type hydraulic steering system for flexible operation and energy efficiency. Opposite in the size scale to Merlo’s other Intermat 2012 machines, the ‘Grand Roto’ 60.24 MCSS and the 40.30MCSS, is the tiny P25.6 SuperCompact telehandler. Only 1,800mm wide, the P25.6 is said to fit into the smallest of site applications. Although being small aids manoeuvrability, Merlo says this has not led to a compromise on cab comfort.
