JCB adds to Stage IIIB wheeled loader line

JCB has introduced two additional Stage IIIB-powered wheeled loaders, the 427 and the 437. Replacing the 426 and 436, the loaders use a Cummins QSB engine, which meets the requirements of Stage IIIB without the need for a diesel particulate filter or selective catalytic reduction (SCR). A variable geometry turbocharger improves response, while an optional five-speed powershift transmission with intelligent clutch cut-off system helps to reduce fuel consumption.

The 437 offer improved performance with lower fuel consumption
RSS255 JCB has introduced two additional Stage IIIB-powered wheeled loaders, the 427 and the 437.

Replacing the 426 and 436, the loaders use a 196 Cummins QSB engine, which meets the requirements of Stage IIIB without the need for a diesel particulate filter or selective catalytic reduction (SCR).

A variable geometry turbocharger improves response, while an optional five-speed powershift transmission with intelligent clutch cut-off system helps to reduce fuel consumption.

An improved cab includes optional climate control for the first time, a full colour LCD monitor and a choice of lever layouts. Customers can also choose between standard open differential axles, limited slip diffs or an automatic diff lock on the front axle only.

  • Ammann’s compaction technology delivers
    January 6, 2017
ACE Pro – Ammann’s flagship system for monitoring and controlling compaction – is now available with GPS, allowing the operator to map the progress of compaction on-site. ACE Pro with GPS feeds absolute compaction data values back into the roller to automatically adjust amplitude and frequency to achieve the target compaction rate. It’s clever enough to stop compacting when the correct level is reached.

  • Epec offers complete control
    January 6, 2017
Epec is hoping to be a controlling influence at INTERMAT. The Finnish firm’s managing director, Jouni Matikainen, said the 32-bit processor and increased calculating power of the new 5050 control unit for mobile construction machines had created a “very powerful” unit. Matikainen said that all Epec’s range of control units, including the new 2024 model being exhibited at the show, have been made to cope with extreme application conditions, including dust-heavy mining.
