Caterpillar is expanding its milling machine range with the introduction of the new PM622 model, which is aimed at the 2.2m class. Also new from the firm for the milling machine sector are the powerful PM825 for the 2.5m class and the more compact PM312 for the 1.2m class. The firm says that its new PM800 Series complements the PM600 Series and shares many components.
HAMM is introducing the HC series – a new generation of soil compactors for all markets. These compactors achieve a high level of compaction power while simultaneously achieving a reduction in CO2 emissions. The communication capabilities are new: All models in the HC series are "digital-ready" since they can be equipped with various interfaces for the digital construction site.
New from Doosan is the DL250 Tc-5 wheeled loader. Weighing in at just over 14tonnes, this machine is equipped with a parallel front end system instead of a Z-bar linkage. This configuration is said to optimise its versatility, allowing it to be used for a wider range of duties. Power comes from an emissions compliant diesel delivering 128kW at 2,100rpm. The machine can deliver 102kN of bucket force and features a tipping load of 8.2tonnes at 40°.
One of the steepest sections of the B 500, an important road in the southern Black Forest, had to be renewed in the summer of 2023 – more precisely: the first kilometres behind the Triberg town sign, past the famous waterfalls. Asphalt paving specialists from Gebrüder Bantle GmbH & Co. KG were commissioned to resurface the carriageway.
