Machine control systems from MOBA are playing an important role in laying out a new street in the southern German village of Apfeldorf in Bavaria. New development in the village is seeing the construction of 14 new homes as well as a new street being built and the time savings and cost savings of machine control systems are proving highly beneficial. Although well proven in larger projects, these technologies are now being used in smaller construction projects also, with major advantages for the users.

Versatility is a key feature of Hitachi’s latest ZXW7 wheeled excavator models. These short-tail swing ZX135W-7, ZX175W-7 and ZX220W-7 are said to be able to handle a wide variety of applications. Attachments can be transported with the optional trailer package, and can be changed easily using the attachment support system. All three models can be equipped with two-piece booms to further boost versatility.
According to Doosan/Develon, its new 2tonne class mini excavator offers high performance combined with precision working. This compact unit features a zero tail swing design and a detachable canopy for low height entrance, allowing it to be used in tight spaces.
