Italian construction equipment manufacturers will be in abundance at 688 Bauma 2013, showcasing their impressive range of machines and technologies based on a rich and proud history of engineering excellence.

The Munich-based show’s status as the largest construction equipment industry exhibition in the world represents the perfect platform for Italian firms to increase their customer base and enhance their global standing.

The timing of bauma 2013, with all its associated trading and networking opportunities, could not be better for the Italian construction equipment sector. According to research commissioned by 2539 Unacea, the Italian trade association, there were 5,047 domestic construction equipment sales in the first nine months of 2012 – down 29% compared to the same period of 2011. Further Unacea published figures reveal that despite their global turnover increasing by 6.4% to in 2011 compared to levels hit in 2010, Italian construction equipment company turnover is down 42% compared to when the world financial crisis hit in 2008.

Like all construction equipment manufacturers, Italian companies will be looking to secure lucrative sales and rental deals with clients from BRICS countries – where multi-billion euro highway infrastructure spending has become the norm in recent years as their economies bloom.

A glance at a list of the Italian construction equipment manufacturers at bauma 2013 instils great confidence in their ability to obtain vital new business. Based in San Giovanni in Persiceto, Emilia-Romagna 1141 SIMEX, a world-renowned manufacturer of top quality equipment for earthmovers, already exports 80% of its production. Remaining in northern Italy, Milan-founded 2139 Controls is among the world’s leading manufacturers of testing equipment for the construction and civil engineering industries. In the concrete machinery and equipment manufacturing market, 2203 CIFA has taken its place among leading firms. Meanwhile, those in the market for easy-to-use and efficient IT quarry management solutions can consider 3938 Ma-Estro. And any line-up of the world’s leading manufacturers of demolition equipment and technologies must include 237 Indeco.

The 2013 renaissance of Italian construction equipment manufacturing is about to gather pace!
