Plans are now in hand for a major new highway project in Italy.

Plans are now in hand for a major new highway project in Italy. A new project for a highway linking capital Rome with the north of the highway is being developed. The project is expected to be worth some €2.5 billion, with some €420 million in funding expected to come from public fiances. The project client will be the Italian public motorway concessionare 1184 ANAS.

    Pakistan is planning a project to construct a new northern highway connecting Havelian and Hassanabdal. The loans required to finance the project have been signed by both the government of Pakistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Havelian-Hassanabdal (Burhan) Expressway (E-35) project is for a north-south access controlled highway.   • New highway planned for Malaysia

    A new highway is planned in Malaysia that will run through Terengganu State and link Hulu Besut and Hulu Terengganu. The local authorities are setting funds aside worth nearly US$160 million for the highway project. The work will be carried out in stages and will take 36-48 months to complete. The first phase will be for a 40km stretch of the highway and is expected to cost some $35 million.
