The 713 International Road Federation (IRF) is planning a new seminar that will focus on delivering outcomes through the utilisation of performance-based maintenance. The Fall Edition of the Executive Seminar Series:  Performance-Based Maintenance Contracting will be held from September 15th-25th, 2013. The seminar will feature an intensive programme of presentations and discussions about Sustainable Maintenance Programmes. Participants will engage in working groups with experts actively involved in maintenance contracting and asset management to discuss the application of best practices under different country conditions. At the end of the presentations and discussions, two days of field trips to local government, agencies, a toll authority, contractor operations and other points of interest will follow. The IRF says that the event will allow attendees to stay on top of a fast-evolving topic of strategic importance to the sector and also learn from expert practitioners who have helped design and implement Performance-Based Maintenance Programmes around the world. In addition, attendees will be able to network with high level decision makers and renowned experts from both the client and contractor sides. The event includes interactive expert panel discussions and Q&A sessions and there is a limited workshop size for maximum benefit and exposure for the attendees.
