Participants from all over the world joined in to the key messages and techniques from this webinar. This addressed the core characteristics of raw data brought together in the annual World Road Statistics report, which is one of IRF’s flagship projects. Published since 1964, this publication remains the single comprehensive source of data for the international road, traffic and transport sectors. The main questions addressed during the webinar included: Why collecting and analysis data is key; the statistics and econometric techniques to identify and fit road and transport data; modelling methods. Throughout the presentation, simple methodologies, elementary econometric techniques and examples were introduced to help the webinar participants understand the key elements to consider when analysing data. Crusher spares specialist CMS Cepcor has opened a new technical centre at Coalville in the UK and has now transferred its Baguley Precision Engineering business into the newly formed Precision Services Division. The company has moved machine servicing from Burton-on-Trent to the new technical centre and retained all the engineering staff. Within the centre is a CNC manufacturing capability, which will enhance the manufacturing, inspection and repair facilities at Coalville.
Hydra shearer drums, now part of the ESCO family of mining products, have been engineered with radial-style picks and tool holders that are recessed into the vane to deliver optimum cutting performance. The result is reduced wear on the drum, increased product size and lower power consumption. The range of shearer drums can also be equipped with conical style picks.
