The Inaugural Iran Bitumen/Asphalt Forum 2016 - IrB 2016 - will be held in Tehran from 29–30 August.

With the lifting of international sanctions, this has opened up vast opportunities in doing business in Iran. IrB 2016 will explore the dynamics in a post-sanctions environment and examine the outlook, challenges and emerging opportunities presented. It will cover key developments in Iran bitumen market and the implications on global and regional bitumen trade.

As Iran is one of the biggest suppliers of bitumen in the world. IrB 2016 will provide the most authoritative assessment of the Iranian bitumen/asphalt markets. The gathering will attract more than 150 senior government officials, suppliers, distributors, traders and consumers of bitumen and asphalt from across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and rest of the world.

Opportunities for investments and development as well as the potential for export markets diversity and dynamics will also be explored.

Presenters from Africa, Middle East, Asia and Europe will look at the entire bitumen supply chain, ranging from major suppliers in the region to shipping logistics, technology and perspectives and challenges faced by the key stakeholders namely the clients, consultants and contractors.

The theme is “Iran in Transformation: Change, Challenge, Opportunity” and it will provide insights into the changing bitumen market picture and new challenges and opportunities. IrB will also provide premium networking opportunities with key players in the industry including producers, refiners, traders, shippers, consultants, contractors and the road authorities.

IrB 2016 is part of a global series of bitumen conferences organised by Conference Connection in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Asian Bitumen 2004-2015 (AsB) attracted over 1,500 participants from 30 countries worldwide while the Middle East Bitumen 2010-2015 (MEB) drew more than 1,000 participants from over 300 companies in more than 30 countries.
