The Intermat 2015 exhibition will see further developments following the successful 2012 event
The 242 INTERMAT 2015 event is to use a new show layout as well as revising its product segmentation. The exhibition hopes to capitalise on the strength of its core Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) markets, which represent 82% of its visitors. The event also offers strong access to the French construction market, which is worth €206.6 billion in annual sales.

The exhibition organisers say they are building on the success of the 2012 event with a new and improved exhibition sector layout. This will accompany new developments and perspectives for INTERMAT 2015 according to the organisers. The show will have a new floor plan for 2015 around its traditional exhibition areas at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition centre, which include the outside demonstration areas together with halls 5A, 5B and 6. The 2015 show will take over the more recently-built Hall 7, instead of halls 3 and 4. This new 15,000m3 hall opened in 2010 and more modern and functional exhibition facilities. Meanwhile the show will offer a global focus representative of the construction industry, from the upstream stages with materials extraction and processing, right through to the end of the project cycle, with the production and application of civil engineering installation. This new organisation will also give visitors a smoother transition between the halls and the exterior demonstration zones. In implementing these changes, the organisers of INTERMAT say that the 2015 event will highlight the machines, equipment and solutions of the exhibitors. This revised event will also allow visitors to target their own specific line of business.

The concrete industry will take centre stage at INTERMAT 2015 with a wide range of related machinery and equipment. The exhibition will also highlight the expertise of its exhibitors in demolition, recycling and re-use of materials, particularly topical subjects given the importance of protecting natural resources and complying with lower pollution levels during the installation of work sites.

This new sector layout will enable the accommodation of 1,500 exhibitors, extend exhibition capacity and offer visitors a range of sectors that are clearly defined and identifiable by business activity. These developments mark the launch of the 10th edition of INTERMAT, which will be full of new features and highlights such as the Innovation Awards and Pre-INTERMAT, to be held on 22 and 23 January 2015 at Maison de la Mutualité, a prestigious historical venue at the heart of Paris. The INTERMAT 2015 event for construction and building materials professionals will be held from 20 to 25 April 2015.
