INTERMAT launch for Volvo’s compact L45G and L50G loaders

Volvo’s two compact hydrostatic wheeled loaders, the nine and 10 tonne L45 and L50, have been upgraded to G-series specification. It means the compact loaders get a transversely-mounted, four-cylinder D4H engine that gives 74-86kW, and drives a twin-range hydrostatic transmission with 100% locking differentials on both axles.

It means the compact loaders get a transversely-mounted, four-cylinder D4H engine that gives 74-86kW, and drives a twin-range hydrostatic transmission with 100% locking differentials on both axles.

Lift statistics ensure the compact loaders can still perform – static tipping loads at full turn are 5,500kg and 6,050kg respectively.

While lift heights remain unchanged from 10-13m, increased lift capacities can now be found across Liebherr’s four-model telehandler range, which now offers 4.1 and 5 tonne lift capabilities. And the range has been rebadged to reflect the new muscle now available. It means models numbers become TL 441-10, TL 441-13, TL 451-10 and TL 451-13. All models use a four-cylinder turbocharged engine rated at 74kW, with a hydrostatic transmission taking care of drive to all four wheels. Three steering modes remain –
