A new range of reflectorless total stations has been developed by 342 Topcon. Called the ES series, the new models also feature TSshield – a Topcon Group innovation using a multi-function telematics-based communication module that locates the instrument. The ES package also gets the longest single-charge battery life in the industry – 36 hours – making it possible to work five full days without recharging.
Atlas Weyhausen’s new E Series wheeled loaders will be on display at Bauma with the AR 65e, AR 75e, AR 80e and AR95e Super all on view. Synthetic diamond division of DeBeers, Element Six, has developed the 3D Percussive Diamond Insert (PDI) that it claims will radically cut costs in the mining drill industry. The 3D PDI uses the firm’s polycrystalline diamond technology to optimise wear and impact resistance properties, while improving penetration rates for the drill bit.
