A new range of reflectorless total stations has been developed by 342 Topcon. Called the ES series, the new models also feature TSshield – a Topcon Group innovation using a multi-function telematics-based communication module that locates the instrument. The ES package also gets the longest single-charge battery life in the industry – 36 hours – making it possible to work five full days without recharging.
Sandvik Construction has added the DC125R to its DC family of compact top hammer drill rigs. The remote-controlled self-propelled rig has a four-wheeled carrier that can also be equipped with rubber tracks for added mobility in difficult terrain. Hamm is launching a range of compaction equipment at Intermat. Alongside the 20tonne H20i with its stage IIIB 160kW six-cylinder diesel engine and diesel particulate filter are the HD+ series of tandem rollers. There are 12 models in the new HD+ series from nine to 15 tonnes. The range includes vibration, oscillation and combination rollers as well as models with split drums.
