A new range of reflectorless total stations has been developed by 342 Topcon. Called the ES series, the new models also feature TSshield – a Topcon Group innovation using a multi-function telematics-based communication module that locates the instrument. The ES package also gets the longest single-charge battery life in the industry – 36 hours – making it possible to work five full days without recharging.
A new version of Hidromek’s well accepted HMK220LC excavator is being offered with a long reach boom for use in special earthmoving and drainage applications. Called the HMK200LC LR, this machine is designed for fine grading at long reach, as well as for duties such as ditching and drainage clearance. As with the standard machines, Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission certified engine and hydraulics components are used. JCB has completed its 17-model, US-built second generation skid steer and compact tracked loader line. The firm has added the 175, 190 and 205 model skid steers and the 190T and 205T CTLs to the range, all of which are vertical-lift-arm models powered by a 44.7kW engine. JCB now has a machine to cover 97% of the global skid steer market, which accounts for more than 70,000 loaders a year.
