INTERMAT launch for Case short radius excavators

Two new short radius excavators are being introduced by Case Construction Equipment at INTERMAT. The Japanese-built CX235C SR and a prototype CX145C SR use low emission Isuzu engines with cooled EGR and a DPF to meet stage IIIB emissions requirements, and Case reckoned the new engines provide a 17.5% fuel consumption improvement over previous models, while simultaneously delivering up to 7% cent faster cycle times.

Two new short radius excavators are being introduced by 176 Case Construction Equipment at INTERMAT.

The Japanese-built CX235C SR and a prototype CX145C SR use low emission 2724 Isuzu engines with cooled EGR and a DPF to meet stage IIIB emissions requirements, and Case reckoned the new engines provide a 17.5% fuel consumption improvement over previous models, while simultaneously delivering up to 7% cent faster cycle times.

An advanced hydraulic system offers five additional energy saving features while integrated systems such as Auto Energy Saving, Boom Energy Saving, Spool Stroke Control and Idle Shut Down, lead to significant fuel savings.

Sitting in a cab that offers better internal proportions and more foot space, operators can choose between Auto, Heavy and Superpower modes, plus an Auto-Power Boost function for maximum digging and lifting capability.

A 6% increase in lift capacity, greater digging efficiency, reduced emissions and up to 5% lower fuel consumption are the benefits of Case’s new CX470C excavator. The 47 to 50tonne machine has a 9.8litre Stage IIIB engine delivering 270kW at 2,000rpm which contributes to a 5% increase in fuel efficiency and 5% faster cycle times. Some of the savings come from a Boom Economy Control, which automatically reduces engine revs and hydraulic power to the boom when speed and power are not a priority.
