2396 Montabert is continuing a tradition of using INTERMAT to launch a new model in its range of automatic two-speed breakers.

The latest hydraulic breaker in the series, the V3500, fills out a range that already includes the V1800, V2500 and V4500. The breakers feature a patented Montabert system that automatically adjusts according to the hardness of the ground that is encountered.

The new V3500 can be mounted on excavators from 35tonnes to 60tonnes. Its two speed system has been designed to enable high productivity on homogenous rock surfaces, including civil engineering applications and secondary breaking in quarries and mines.

The V3500 works with a maximum input power of 93kW. A hydraulic flow of 320litres/minute provides a frequency of 850 blows a minute at an operating pressure of 175 bars. Large tools of 175mm diameter can be used. The standard version of the V3500 is silenced and it can be equipped with a pressurisation circuit for underwater work.

The lower angle of Caterpillar Work Tools’ new line of buckets for the E-series Hydraulic Excavators are said to concentrate the power of the machine across a smaller surface, offering less resistance to the material flow into and around the bucket resulting in a smoother and faster dig cycle. In addition, ‘Tip forward’ - the tip position that opens up the mouth of the bucket and lengthens the floor - has been moved towards the operator. This is said to improve both material flow into the bucket and visibi
