Innovation awards programme announced for Conexpo 2014

The Conexpo 2014 exhibition is launching its Innovation Awards programme to recognise the best product innovation and engineering. The winners are to be announced at the show and industry participants are being invited to vote online. The 3485 Conexpo 2014 exhibition is launching its Innovation Awards programme to recognise the best product innovation and engineering. The winners are to be announced at the show and industry participants are being invited to vote online. The awards are intended to spotlight the achievements of show exhibitors in the areas of earthmoving, lifting, road building, compaction and concrete. Voters who register have the chance to win a new 2794 Microsoft Surface Pro tablet computer. The inaugural awards will be announced at special ceremonies during the 2014 show, to be held March 4-8, 2014 in Las Vegas, USA. The winner roster will also be displayed online. “Conexpo Con/Agg brings together the industry’s newest technologies and product innovations, and we want to showcase the ‘best of the best’ from the customers’ point of view,” stated Megan Tanel, show director.

The Conexpo Con/Agg Innovation Awards are sponsored by Diesel Progress magazine and global powertrain specialist ZF Friedrichshafen. Each product category includes four machines that a panel of Diesel Progress editors selected as,  “…some of the most interesting examples of machine engineering.”

“The awards are an excellent fit with the show; our exhibitors unveil their product breakthroughs at Conexpo-Con/Agg, and attendees know the show is where they’ll find what they need to work smarter,” Tanel added.

    Faresin Industries has expanded its telescopic handler range with the addition of the FH8.40 and the rotating Storm 22.45 evo. The FH8.40 sits in the range between the established FH7.45 and the FH9.30. The machine has a capacity of 4tonnes with a maximum lift height of 8m. Higher up the lifting scale, the Storm 22.45 rotating handler can manage up to 45tonne lifts, with a maximum height of 22m.
