A strong attendance is expected for the 688 Bauma 3485 Conexpo event in India. This exhibition will be held at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, India, between 8 and 11 February 2011. Some 508 exhibitors from over 30 countries will be present at the event, unveiling the latest innovations in machinery and equipment.

The show is expected to become the largest construction machinery trade fair in India in terms of participating exhibitors and will also be the country's most international construction event with 70% of registered exhibitors headquartered outside of India.

After India, the top five countries of origin for the exhibitors are Germany, Italy, the US, China and Great Britain respectively. Due to strong demand from exhibitors, the exhibition space for 1260 bC India has been further extended again by 8,000m2, bringing the total to around 88,000m2. bC India is also attracting a lot of attention among the Indian governmental agencies. The Indian Minister of Urban Development, Kamal Nath, will be delivering the opening speech at the show to emphasise the strategic importance of bC India for the Indian construction industry.
