Hillhead looks to expand further for 2018
The organisers of the 5894 Hillhead exhibition plan to expand the event again when it is next run in 2018. The 2016 event saw a record 476 exhibitors as well as a 7.1% show-on-show increase in attendance with 18,601 visitors from 71 countries. Exhibitors and attendees made the trip to Hillhead Quarry, near Buxton, Derbyshire.

Rebookings for 2018 are already under way and the showground is filling up rapidly. To meet future demand, the organisers will be extending the Registration Pavilion to accommodate additional indoor requests. Additional outdoor space will also be created by reconfiguring the Registration Demonstration Area at the top end of the site.

Event director Richard Bradbury explained: ‘The appetite for the show continues to thrive, and we were oversubscribed in 2016. Frustratingly, we were unable to accommodate around 80 exhibitor requests. A combination of adding an additional bay to the Registration Pavilion and moving the registration area itself into an adjacent structure should meet indoor demand, whilst a redesign and expansion of the Registration Demo Area will allow us to showcase even more working plant and equipment outdoors in 2018 – a feature that is synonymous with Hillhead.’

The show will take place from 26–28 June 2018 at Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry, near Buxton, and further details are available from the show website.
